Commission Meetings
All of our meetings are conducted in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act and are open to the public.
Public meetings are held to provide citizens an opportunity to present testimony and comments on the salary proposal being considered. These meetings are held in cities around the state to provide citizen access to the decision-making process. State law requires that we hold no fewer than four public meetings.
We encourage and welcome your attendance at our meetings. If you wish to comment but cannot attend a meeting, click on Contact Us for information about how to inform us of your views.
Meeting Schedule for 2011
The 2011 salary setting session will begin in January 2011. Commissions will be setting salaries of the elected officials for 2011 and 2012.
The meeting schedule for the 2011 salary setting session will be adopted at a planning meeting in November 2010 and will be posted at that time.
Like all other state agencies, our funding for the 2009-2011 biennium was reduced. The reduction included the elimination of two public hearings in 2011. This means that instead of holding five public hearings in 2011, we will only hold three.
