There are 9 Supreme Court Justices, 22 Court of Appeals Judges, 181 Superior Court Judges, and 111 District Court Judges.
The state pays the salaries of the Supreme Court Justices and judges of the Court of Appeals. Superior court judges’ salaries are paid 50/50 by the state and by the county in which the court is located. District Court judges’ salaries are paid 100% by the county in which the court is located.
We do not set the salaries of municipal judges.
